Storm System Will Bring New Round Of Precipitation

A storm system will approach the area Sunday night, ushering in a new round of precipitation that will bring rain and drizzle to the south and freezing rain and drizzle farther north.

Areas north of I-84 will be at the highest risk for the freezing precipitation that could create a slick coating on roadways from Monday to Tuesday.

Following a mild day Sunday with highs in the mid 40s under mainly sunny skies, there is a chance of patchy drizzle and rain after 9 p.m. as the warm front arrives. The overnight low will be right around the freezing mark.

Rain is likely Monday morning with patchy drizzle before noon, then patchy drizzle and fog with a chance of more rain after noontime. The high temperature will reach the upper 30s.

The chance of patchy drizzle rain continues through Monday night with showers likely overnight followed by rain after 2 a.m. Tuesday.

Temps will warm up to the low 50s Tuesday with rain continuing through the mid-afternoon.

Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a high around 40.
